Our lab is focused on the Eco-Evolutionary dynamics surrounding salt marshes, particularly the intersection of fast-paced evolution, carbon accumulation, human impacts, and climate change. Why salt marshes? They offer a beautiful and exciting example of plant responses to environmental change in real time, and how those responses can impact the functioning of the ecosystem at large. However, our work goes beyond the marsh as well, including the Bromecast project, measuring and predicting the response of an invasive terrestrial grass to climate change.
